I'm old enough to know by now that shapewear is a minefield - there's no point in buying garments to hold in your tummy or make your waist look smaller - all that squished flab has go to go somewhere! It's gonna spill out over the top or pop out at the bottom, which looks much worse than the original area of concern!So with that in mind I bought these in size XL, I'm a pear-shaped UK14. I was a bit disappointed on taking them out of the packaging to discover that they are exactly the same back and front, there is no shaping whatsoever. Also, they have no lining at the gusset. However the fabric is nice and soft and they seem well made. As always they look much too small but the material is amazingly stretchy and they fit me perfectly. There's no fat roll spilling over the top, or sausage effect at the thighs, which is fantastic.I wear these under skirts and dresses to stop the dreaded thigh rub. They're very comfortable, the top doesn't roll down and the legs don't ride up. Being seamless they are virtually undetectable under close-fitting clothes. The fabric isn't too thick so they don't add bulk or feel restrictive. Obviously they're not very glamorous on their own, but the nude and pink pairs are great to wear under slightly see through fabrics. I wear the nude pair under white linen trousers and they're invisible in a way that a lot of 'nude' underwear just isn't.The material is so stretchy that these have almost zero 'hold you in' effect, they're not gonna make your tummy look any smaller. However they do have a good smoothing effect with no vpl and no colour show-through so they do make your outfit look a lot more polished (and they avoid the dreaded chub-rub!)I bought these while they were on offer at £13.99. They're ok at that price but I wouldn't pay the full price (£19.99). They're very basic, no front or back, no gusset lining, you could probably buy exactly the same from elsewhere for a lot less. The fact they are returnable in the event that they didn't fit was a bonus (a lot of underwear on amazon is not returnable).Overall good quality smoothing underwear but don't expect to look instantly slimmer!

I think I have 6 pairs maybe more of these now and they are still going strong I’ve bought shorts from other places that have broken in the same time frame and I haven’t worn them as much.As a bigger woman who even when I was smaller struggled with chaffing these are life changing I wear them under all my dresses and sometimes even my jeans and they are so thin that you can barely see them.I couldn’t recommend them enough they are so soft and have lasted me a long time and I don’t see them breaking anytime soon!

Black ones are brilliant. Nude perfect for added security under a dress for example. White ones a bit too see-through for my liking, but again they are ok if you want a bit of added security under a dress - wouldn't wear instead of underwear, though. Fit is good, quality seems ok initially, but haven't washed them yet so we will see. I've purchased quite a few types of shorts like this now and these are probably the best so far.

I'm a size 14 but my weight is on my stomach and is about a size 18 so having ignored the recommendation from Amazon ( as I usually buy size 14 clothes) I took advice from the Reviews and ordered XXL & I'm so glad I did.. such soft fabric & so comfortable without any tightness or discomfort. No roll up or roll down. Not sheer at all as I assume I'm not stretching them that much but do still get a very flattering smooth outline.. plus will have no rubbing thighs under my gorgeous maxi dresses this summer. Definitely the nicest long leg knickers I've ever had.

Bought these to wear under my dresses. They were perfect. They don’t roll up on thighs or down on the waist. I gave my sister a pair and she loved them so much she got a set too.

I bought one of these to wear under a very sheer dress that I bought for my wedding and I FELL IN LOVE. I wear shorts under all my dresses to combat chub rub. These shorts are perfect! They are thin and light, so I don't sweat to death in the southern heat, as well as soft. They stay put and don't roll up or down without the uncomfortable silicone strips that are in so many under clothing accessories. They are not shape wear, so don't expect them to hide any lumps or bumps. I loved that one pair so much, I bought 2 packs of these! As long as these are sold here, I'll never buy another brand of these again!

Really love these slip shorts. Fit is good, leg length is long enough. Material is very slippery, when pulling jeans up, the shorts don't move! It's great. They don't roll up and the waistband doesn't roll down. They don't stretch out during the day and retain shape. And you can't beat the price! I usually buy Jockey Skimmies and Maidenform boy shorts - both more expensive. I just wish these had a more breathable, cotton-y crotch gusset. more like the others.

these are very comfortable. I bought one size up and am glad I did. They are great to wear on my daily 4 mile hikes as they stay cool and comfortable but are also slimming. They also hold their shape after washing. I am very happy with them.
